About This Place

Mamita's Beach Club in the heart of Playa del Carmen is much more than just a restaurant—it’s a vibrant fusion of a beach club, bar & grill, and public beach, all rolled into one breathtaking tourist destination. Nestled on the soft sands at Calle 28 Norte y la playa, this hotspot effortlessly blends exceptional dining with an unforgettable seaside experience, making it a must-visit for locals and travelers alike.

At Mamita’s, the cuisine is a delightful celebration of fresh, local flavors with a menu designed to satisfy every craving. Imagine savoring the zesty tang of their Ceviche de Camarón con Pescado, where tender shrimp and fish burst with bright citrus notes, perfectly complemented by the ocean breeze. Or indulge in their crispy, golden Fish and Chips, a classic comfort food elevated by expertly fried seafood and a side of perfectly seasoned fries. For something lighter yet deeply satisfying, the Shrimp Tacos offer a flavorful punch wrapped in soft tortillas, balancing spice and freshness beautifully.

If you’re craving Italian flavors by the shore, the Pizza Margarita brings warm, melty mozzarella, fresh basil, and tangy tomato sauce right to your beach chair. And no beach day is complete without world-class drinks: sip on a perfectly mixed Sex on the Beach or a refreshing Chelada Con Corona, whose crisp, salty tang feels like a celebration in every sip. For a smooth nightcap, a rich Carajillo or the tropical sweetness of a Piña Colada will transport you straight to paradise.

The atmosphere here is electric yet relaxed, with open-air dining that lets you soak in the sun, sand, and sea. Guests often rave about the attentive, speedy service, making you feel genuinely cared for from the moment you arrive. As Hannah Solorio expressed, Mamita’s is “an absolute dream of a beach club,” a place so inviting that visitors return day after day during their vacations.

But Mamita's Beach Club is more than just food and drinks—it’s a full sensory escape. You can lounge in the popular VIP area, a sanctuary of calm and safety perfect for couples or solo travelers who want to unwind without a worry, as Fran Morales experienced. Meanwhile, family groups and friends find joy in the lively, friendly environment, supported by a staff that goes above and beyond—names like Luis, Juan, Eric, Alvaro, Jorge, and Abraham are frequently mentioned for their warm, attentive service. Mirella Nigro highlights the value in booking a comfortable chair, where you can truly relax all day, enjoying everything Mamita’s has to offer.

Seasonal challenges like seaweed don’t dampen the experience here; the team works tirelessly to keep the beach clean and inviting. Leah Mitchell’s praise for Mamita’s as the “best beach we found during seaweed season” speaks volumes about their commitment to guests’ enjoyment.

Whether you’re seeking a flavorful meal, a refreshing drink, a lively social scene, or simply a slice of paradise by the Caribbean Sea, Mamita’s Beach Club delivers on all fronts. It’s a place where the sun kisses your skin, every bite is a celebration of local bounty, and the ocean sounds serenade your day. Visiting Mamita’s feels less like a meal or a visit—it’s an immersive experience that stays with you long after you leave the shore.

an absolute dream of a beach club! I am already trying to plan a trip back. Service was so quick, the food and drinks were amazing! We were in Playa del Carmen 4 days and went to Mamitas Beach Club 2 of the full days!

We come almost every year to Playa and spend the day at Mamitas. We wanna thank Luis, Juan, Eric and Alvaro for the Top Service! Food in good quality and drinks are really good. We paid 1300 for the chair (if you pay cash its 100 pesos discount) and consumation is 1000. You pay what is above 1000 + Propina pf course. I recommend to book a chair more behind, due to the Local people that spent a beach day, privat in front. Can get crowdy. But there is always Party for sure!

Great place to spend the day, beautiful beach and if you stay on the VIP area is very calm and safe if you are traveling alone o with your couple, you can leave your belongings there, the services was great too, the only thing is that the coctels are a little overpriced.

Best Beach we found during seaweed season! Everywhere else had very thick seaweed, but this place kept it cleaned up as much as they could. Abraham was our waiter and he was great! Good food and lots of sun!

We recently visited Mamitas Beach Club in Playa Del Carmen and had an enjoyable experience overall. First, we paid a 2100-peso cover charge for 2 people, which came with two lounge chairs and an umbrella, and the use of their pool. The entrance fee included a 1700-peso credit for food and drinks. Additionally, there was a 120-peso charge for two towels.. The facility itself is very nice—clean, modern, and well-maintained. Since we visited during the low season, the beach club wasn’t crowded, allowing us to enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere. The highlight of our visit was the excellent service provided by Jorge, our waiter. He was attentive, friendly, and always made sure to check in on us, which added to the overall positive vibe of the day. The beach club also features a DJ who plays good dance music, adding an upbeat energy that perfectly complements the beachside setting. All in all, Mamitas Beach Club is a great spot for a fun and relaxing day. While the cover charge might seem a bit high at first, the food and drink credit balances it out, especially if you plan to enjoy the amenities fully.
